Today was the day the rear gas tank decided to start leaking. Right after filling both tanks.

Buying a newer truck is starting to look really attractive. But.. The way things rust around here there’s no guarantee that a newer truck won’t have similar issues.

Geez, it’s ALWAYS the rear tank on these, isn’t it? I’m kinda surprised yours lasted this long. Lots of owners have a don’t-touch-the-switch policy, and some just disconnect it altogether.

I see a lot with the disconnected switch. I can’t stand that. If it’s there it has to work. A new tank is only $80 so I guess it’s just another nickel gone.

Are you sure it’s just the tank you’ll be replacing...? ;)

Southern trucks are the best. I’ve often daydreamed about buying older rigs from down south and selling them up here.

But there is a guarantee new trucks will not have the fuel tank rust through. Most of them are plastic!

True. Though I’m not a fan of monthly payments so whatever I buy will probably have a steel tank still.
